Why I Chose Mediation & Collaborative Divorce

As a law student, it became clear to me early on that preparing for trial, and then settling on the courthouse steps or doing battle in the courtroom wasn't for me. I never liked the waste - time, money, emotional energy.

Moreover, I'm just not an adversarial kind of person. I would rather work together to find mutual solutions that look to the future, than ratchet up the hostilities by looking for weakness and past mistakes and attacking.

I don't know of anything more important than family. As a father who is divorced, I care about these issues very much, not just professionally, but personally as well.
